ABOUT PERFORMING UMRAH:
The two types of Umrah in Shariah are
1. al-Umrah al-mufradah al-mustaqillah'an al-Hajj
It can be performed at any time of the year.
2. al-Umrah al-mundammah ila al-Hajj
It should be performed with the Hajj.
Main events of Umrah are
- Assuming the state of Ihram from Meeqat.
- Performance of Tawaaf around Khana Ka'aba.
- Offering Nafal at Maqam-e-Ibrahim and drinking Zamzam.
- Sa'y around mountains of Safa and Marwa.
- Coming out of Ihram.
Firstly, men wear Ahram of two unstitched plain sheets, while women can wear regular clothes considering that hands and face should be uncovered. Then, the intention of Umrah is made.
All the way till reaching Khana Kaba, Talbiya has to be recited, then Tawaf around Kaba is started consisting of seven circles, with Hajar Aswad as starting and ending points. Then two Rakat Nafal are performed at Maqam-e-Ibrahim. Afterward, Sa’Y is performed which consists of seven circuits between mount SAFA AND MARWA. After Sa’Y, Men have to shave their heads while women shorten their hair by a fingertip.
RULES FOR WOMEN PERFORMING UMRAH:
Women, according to Shariah, has to accompany a Mahram along with them. And, Women in Iddah cannot go for Pilgrimage.
VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR UMRAH:

Umrah visa is for 30days, and you can only visit Medina, Makah, and Jeddah with Umrah visa.
VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS FOR UMRAH FLIGHT:
Pilgrims are required to get vaccinations for Meningitis and other diseases along with vaccination certificate from National Travel Health Network and Centre. Children of 15 or less must be vaccinated for polio and meningococcal. However, children 15 above need vaccination same as adults.
If you are taking any medicine, you need a certificate from your physician. It is recommended that those females should not go on Umrah or Hajj Who are pregnant, seriously ill or over 65 years of age. Let us know beforehand about a disabled or elderly pilgrim, so we can make arrangements for their accommodation and provide wheelchair in Haram.
